Sonora

Sonora—or ‘Noni’ as she is affectionately nicknamed—came to us as a stray from AHS.

At only 8 years old, she was at risk of being put down because of some minor health issues.  We decided that she needed rescued!  We provided the medical care she needed and now she is a happy, healthy girl, ready for her next chapter of life.

We picture Sonora as the queen of the house!  She has claimed the back of the couch as her throne! But unlike other queens, she loves to cuddle with you and be loved on.  She really likes hanging out with her family and will always let you know when it’s dinner time.  She is not clingy though, and is happy to take a nap if you are busy.

Another of Sonora’s favorites is taking walks.  Don’t let that little chubby butt fool you—she can really pick up the pace!  She loves riding in the car for errands too.  We encourage her walks and exercise to help her retain her youthful figure.

Sonora sleeps quietly through the night on her bed with some soft blankets that she will arrange to make them just right. She is housetrained and has been in foster homes with and without a doggy door.  Small doggy siblings are fine with her too.

The ideal home for this pretty girl would be quiet and calm with no small children. She can get a little nervous sometimes, so her family will need to be patient.  She will need time to feel comfortable and secure. When Sonora is able to trust you, you will discover the sweetheart that she is….queen and all!
