Onyx

A big HELLO to you!  My name is Onyx and I am 80 + pounds of love and joy wanting to find my forever home.  Could that be with you? I’m 8 years old and I am a Mastiff/Staffordshire Terrier mix and Ive been in the best care of Forever Loved for a few months now.  I’m not complaining, because I am so favored and special to them, but there really is “no place like home.”  Almost every weekend I go on “sleep-overs” with some of my favorite volunteers and they have nothing but good things to say about me.  I am reliably house trained, I am not destructive when left alone, and about the only time I bark is when I’m so excited to see you and want you to come pet me.  I love going for car rides, going out in public places, and especially going to a drive-thru for a puppaccino!  I love all kinds of people, and I’m also very good with children.  I do pull on the leash, and walk best on a harness, so you kind of need to be strong enough to keep up with me, but I don’t need long walks, and because of some arthritis, I’m not a “hiking buddy” type of gal.  I love carrying around my soft toys, chewing on bully sticks and chews, and lounging on my comfy bed.  About the only thing that makes me growl is other dogs getting right up in my face - I’d really love to be your only dog and soak up all the love I can get.  Someone abandoned me in a strangers backyard, but kind folks made sure I ended up in a good place to find a loving home.  Please fill out an application to meet me, I’m more than ready to shower you with love and happy tail wags.
