Chico

Hi there!  My name is Chico and I am a 7 year old 16 lb Chihuahua.  My pal Oscar and I came to Forever Loved through our hero and our vet clinic after our owner could no longer care for us. A daughter in law came every day to care for us and to ensure a happy ending . We wouldn’t have been saved if it wasnt for our “angel”.

It was kind of scary for us both at first, and I did a lot of anxious shaking, but I never showed even a hint of aggression.  Luckily, I was able to go to a foster home and I am so much happier and relaxed.

I am really good with females, but males can be kind of scary, especially the vet, but I never tried to bite him.

I am in good health, I just had a dental cleaning, and I am house trained, knowing how to use a doggy door.  

My foster mom says that I love to sleep with her and that I am a “joy to have.”  When she comes back in from another room, I greet her with happy tail wags like a sweet and wonderful houseguest.

I’m very food motivated by high value yummies like cooked chicken or hot dog bits.  That’s a great way to make friends and to show me I’m safe!

The trainer says I’m a good boy who will come when called, and I did very well living with another dog.  If you have another dog in the home, I’d like them to meet me so we can see if we will be good dog pals.  I’m one of those dogs that can be with another dog, or not, so why don’t you apply to meet me?  I’d love to be your snuggle buddy, too!
