Oscar

Hello, My name is Oscar and I am an 8 year old 22lb Chihuahua mix.  Does that sound heavy for a Chihuahua?  Well, I’ve got some really tall legs, so who knows what else might be in the mix.  I came to Forever Loved as an owner surrender along with my roommate because our owner could no longer care for us.  My story starts out kind of sad, because a landscaper found me taped up in a box.  I was lucky enough to be taken in by my previous owner, and truth be told, my world was pretty small and I grew up a bit on the fearful side.  I will be honest - I’m afraid of men and it takes me a few minutes and some really yummy treats to trust women visitors.  But, once I know you, we are the best of friends.  Just ask the volunteers at Forever Loved.  I am reliably house trained, I enjoy going for walks in calm and quiet places, and I ride nicely in the car.  I’m just now learning that going to Starbucks and places like that can be fun, so I will definitely need a patient and loving female to help me navigate my new environment.  I can be affectionate and well-behaved; I just need a fresh start.  The trainer here at Forever Loved will give you all the advice and support you might need because really, there is a sweet guy underneath all my fears and every dog deserves to have a loving happily ever after.  Will you apply to meet me and be my hero?
