Hi there! I’m Ladybug, an 8-year-old sweet soul who thrives on love, food, sunshine, and cuddles!

With new folks, I might seem reserved at first, but give me time, and I’ll become your most loyal friend and companion. I’m loving and trusting once I know I’m safe. My happiness revolves around simple pleasures: food, roaming the yard, daily walks, and snuggling up next to my human.

I’m housebroken and doggy door trained but may need some time to learn the new rules in my new environment. I do have separation anxiety, so I might bark for a little while at first when my people leave, so having someone home most of the time is recommended.

I catch on fast and love basking in the sun, exploring the yard, and going for walks. I enjoy car rides, but I do not like being placed in a kennel or a carrier.

I can easily co-exist with friendly dogs and cats, but I typically do not seek comfort from them and wouldn’t mind a home as the only pet. A peaceful environment suits me best.

I don’t recommend free feeding as I may end up devouring everything!  I can be protective of my home and food, so it’s best if I go to a home with dog-savvy folks who understand the simple ways to handle these quirks.

I recently got a clean bill of health after some blood work, mammary mass removals, spay, and a dental! I am ready for my happy-ever-after!
