Kennedy

My name is Kennedy, and I would love to meet you!  I am an 8 year old 54lb Beagle/Shepherd mix, and I came to Forever Loved with my roommate when my owner fell on some health issues and couldn’t take care of us any longer.  I am a friendly guy, and although I don’t have the best manners, I am very safe, and wouldn’t hurt a fly!  Don’t worry, I am very treat motivated, and would love to polish up on my “sit” and walking on a loose leash.  I was house trained in my home, and have been using the doggy door in my kennel to go outside.  The beagle part of me can be a bit noisy when I want your attention, so I probably wouldn’t be suitable for an apartment or condo with shared walls.  I really enjoy going for walks and a “sniffari”, and I’ve been introduced to several other dogs in the shelter play yard and done fine.  Truthfully, I really am a human social dog, and love petting and affection.  Sometimes I think I’m small enough to snuggle on your lap.  The vet said I’m healthy, but I definitely need to lose a few pounds.  Hey, maybe you need to lose weight too!  We can work on that together.  I would love nothing more than to be your loyal and joyful companion.  Please apply to meet me.
