Hi, my name is Skip (Skippy, Skippity do dah, and Short Stack will do, too).  I am a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix, I’m 8 years old, weigh 17lbs, and I am in really good health.  My previous owner had a lifestyle change and I wasn’t included in that change.  No matter, I’m now happily staying with my foster mom and am as happy as can be.  I am reliably house trained, and I can be left alone with no problem.  I get along with my doggy housemates, but sometimes I will bark at larger dogs while I’m out doing one of my favorite activities - walking on leash! Some things I really love are sitting with you on the couch watching TV, snuggling under the covers with you when it’s cold outside, and going anywhere with my favorite human.  Although walking on leash is the best, I ride nicely in the car and a stroller, I also love playing with my squeaky toys and playing tug with you.  Some things that scare me are humans of the male variety, and strangers who try to pet me right away without giving me the chance to decide whether I feel safe with them or not.  All you need to do is go slow, and of course give me some really yummy treats.  I am mostly a quiet guy, but if I’m watching out the opened front door, I will let you know if there is a dog or a stranger passing by.  My foster mom adores me and she thinks you will, too.  Please apply to meet me and adopt me!
