Maxx

Hello? Are you there?  I have a few challenges, but please don’t stop there - my name is Maxx (named after a special volunteer) and I am the sweetest 8.6lb West Highland Terrier/Pomeranian mix that you might ever meet.  I was originally a stray at the Humane Society in Yuma, but Forever Loved quickly transferred me in so that I could have a ruptured corneal ulcer taken care of.  Now I am completely blind in both eyes, but my foster mom reports that I am totally adaptive and so super easy to care for!  I’m a bit hard of hearing, too, so please be sure to help me out there, too.  I’m 12 years old and I am completely house trained.  All you need to do is take me outside and I will do my business where you place me.  I don’t wander too much, so just know that I’d like to be close to wherever you are.  I have a really good nose, and quickly sniffed out the treats in the shelter trainers pocket!  I even gently pawed her to ask for more.  A home with no pool or stairs would be safest to me, and I even enjoy the company of other dogs.  I’m all-around sweet and quiet, and show no aggression or discomfort at anything!  Please make my wishes come true and let me land safely in your home and heart.
