Joe

I was rescued from the county pound by the great folks at Forever Loved, because I really didn't have a chance at making it to the adoption floor there.  Forever Loved saw the beautiful dog that was underneath — a matted, stinky, ungroomed coat, and my terribly neglected ear infections and loss of vision didn't deter them at all.

My name is Joe. I'm 13 years old, 19 lbs, and I am a handsome Cocker Spaniel.

I love other dogs, I love everyone I've ever met, and I just love going for walks.

Walking me on a harness makes it so easy for me to follow your gentle physical prompts and keeps me from bumping into pokey things, like cacti.

I have hearing loss, and can't really see, so let's work together on communication, because I already know that I absolutely want to be your boy!

In my new home, it will take me a bit to learn my space and where the potty spot is, but if you are patient, the wonderful folks at Forever Loved will teach you the best way to show me. Although they love me so much and adore me like crazy, I would really like my own home to spend the best of my life in. Could that be you?

I've had my crummy teeth pulled, my ears thoroughly cleaned out, my hair cut, and a thorough vet visit, and I'm now on the search for that just-right home!  My bloodwork came out great, but I will probably have to have ear and eye drops for the rest of my life.
