Addie

Hi! My name is Addie, and I am ready for love!  The folks at Forever Loved adore me and so does my foster mom. She says I am one of the most affectionate dogs she’s ever met. I am always ready to be pet and show you how much I love you.

I came to Forever Loved from the county shelter where their awesome volunteers spent double-time finding me a great rescue to transfer to, because I am going to make a great addition to any home!

I am 7 years old, 41 lbs., and I am a Black Lab mix.  I haven’t had an easy life so far. I have given birth to multiple litters of pups, have not had good, nutritious foods, and even had ticks that made me ill awhile back.  But that’s all past! I am healthy, energetic, and ready to enjoy adventures!

I am house trained and good with other dogs AND cats, and I just love meeting every human, no matter who they are.

I am treat-motivated and eager to learn. Not to brag, but I am smart too.  I even love ice cubes as treats! My foster mom is working with me because I do pull on the leash but I am getting better since I now know walks are a regular part of my day.

In my foster home, I have 3 canine and 3 feline siblings and we all get along just great although sometimes I’m an attention hog. My foster mom works from home, so she is great about ensuring all of us get love.

In my foster home, we have a big, fenced backyard, and I love roaming around it with one of my foster brothers. I also enjoy sunbathing outside every so often. So, a fenced backyard is definitely on my “must have” list for my forever home.

I love laying on a comfy bed and will even share it with my roommates in my foster home. I am also crate-trained and sleep in a crate at night in my foster mom’s room and go in the crate when she needs to leave the house for a bit. It’s easy to get me in the crate- just put a treat in there!  I especially love dental treats.

I am a little hesitant riding in a car because I’m not used to it. With you there to guide me and show me how much fun going places can be, I will master my balance.
