Caroline has been a volunteer with Forever Loved since June 2019. Her favorite things to do at the sanctuary include taking the pups on walks, accompanying them into the play yard, or giving and receiving cuddles while hanging out in the kennel suites.
She has also been coordinating the Transport Team since April 2022. The Transport Team is literally the "team that goes the extra mile" to take dogs to and from vet and grooming appointments, foster homes, or adoptive homes. Caroline was very honored to join the Animal Welfare team in August 2022, and she very much enjoys working with the other team members to make sure each and every Forever Loved dog gets all the care they need from intake to adoption.
In April 2023, Caroline also began working more closely with our fabulous veterinary partners to manage medical and surgical reports. One of the highlights of her time at the sanctuary is the day she was accepted into the inner circle of trust by our one and only Queen Ruby — it only took 1 1/2 years, about 10,000 green beans, and some close calls on bitten fingers, but now Ruby and Caroline are good friends!
When she is not busy with Forever Loved, Caroline loves spending time with her own dogs (all of whom are Forever Loved alums!), traveling, reading, quilting and sewing, playing bridge and pickleball, and enjoying retirement with her wonderful husband. Caroline and her husband also welcomed their first grand-dog in February 2022 and hope that Roxy will be the first of many dogs that their four children will share their homes and hearts with.
Volunteering with Forever Loved is both a joy and a passion for Caroline!
