Dog Days of Summer

Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary, Scottsdale’s only senior dog rescue group, will host an Adoption Event + Open House event this Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 8-10 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The open house will include tours and, of course, dogs available for adoption. Mindful of the heat, the rescue has scheduled the event for the morning and will have pop-up tents with misters. A coffee truck by Brewed Awakening will also be on hand for iced coffee.

All dog lovers are encourages to attend the free event, especially those who are not familiar with the Rescue. Forever Loved hopes to build awareness about the rescue as well as the senior dogs that need the public’s help.

“We want the public to come see and experience our Sanctuary and learn about the great work we do for senior dogs. We are a
hidden gem right in the middle of Scottsdale, and we don’t want to remain hidden," said Angela Heckler, FLPS Director of Fundraising.

Attendees will get to tour the Sanctuary and see where the dogs stay, including their oversized kennels with comfy furniture and doggy doors to private outside spaces, and the dogs’ wonderful covered play yard.

Information will be available for those interested in volunteering with the organization —  including dog walking, fostering, and more.

“So many dogs are needing homes right now,” Heckler said. “Anything we can do to spread the word about our senior dogs and our organization while having fun is a no-brainer.”
