Hank

Howdy! My name is Hank and I am eager to fill your life with love and so much fun!  I am a handsome beagle/ boxer mix, 8 years old and 31 lbs.

My sister and I were walking down a rural road with another dog (abandoned, we say) when a Good Samaritan found us and started looking for our owner. Well, wouldn’t you know it, when the owner was found, they didn’t want us any longer. What kind of howdy doody is that? Wouldn’t you say I am actually better off searching for a new forever home that will love and care for me? Thanks to Forever Loved, I am doing just that!

I am such a good boy.  I have a calm and laid-back personality (except maybe when it’s time to eat!) I’m not much for playing but prefer a nice nap. Some people call that a couch potato—I call it being at peace with the world!

I am friendly with everyone and love meeting new friends. I have been around lots of adults and older kids and have rolled over for belly rubs from all of them!  I might bark if someone comes to the door or another dog barks at me, but otherwise, I’m a pretty quiet guy.

Did someone say treat?  I love, love, love treats and will sit and give you my undivided attention to earn them. My foster mom says I can’t have too many though cause I have to watch my boyish figure!

You can check off the housetraining box!  I know how to use a doggy door or can wait at the door to go outside. I love to go for walks too! I pull some on the leash when I’m excited, but I am easily led to slow down. I am also a perfect passenger in the car. On cooler days, I would love to run errands with you.

I sleep quietly through the night on my soft bed. No snoring for me!  I like to sleep in and wait for you to come and wake me up with hugs and kisses and ask me my favorite question, “Are you ready for breakfast?

I have been checked out by the vet and my bloodwork looks great. After my dental, I have squeaky clean teeth and super fresh breath!
