Growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Luisa always had a soft spot in her heart for animals and somehow an initial career path to veterinary school took a turn into commercial interior design and a BS in Interior Architecture.
After moving to Arizona in 1998, Luisa volunteered at a large local animal shelter where over several years she volunteered in cat and dog adoptions, fostered 30+ dogs, and eventually became a docent.
Her volunteer journey also led her to the areas where the injured animals arrived and were treated, sparking a passion for helping those who had endured abuse or neglect. Seeing so many older pets left behind, inspired her to create Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary.
Luisa lives in a lively household with her husband, two daughters, and of course, always a couple of rescue dogs.
