Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary will be represented in Animal Planet's PUPPY BOWL PRESENTS: DOG BOWL II

63 Adoptable Dogs Compete From 31 Shelters Across 15 States!

January 2019 – Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary is doggone thrilled to announce we have a doggie player in this year’s DOG BOWL II. Everyone’s favorite pup-to-pup competition airs during the ROAD TO PUPPY BOWL XV on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, on Animal Planet.

Check your TV provider's local listings for this Saturday evening's airtime, and set your DVR in advance! (Note: Cox, DirecTV, Dish, Playstation Vue, etc. may be airing Dog Bowl at different times)

This one-hour special is hosted by award-winning animal advocate, Jill Rappaport.

Deuce is one of 63 competing in Dog Bowl, where the dogs range in ages from 2-16 years old. A variety of breeds and mixed breeds will be represented, including a cocker spaniel, pug, german shepherd, basset hound, pomeranian, chihuahua, bulldog, pekingese, boxer, american eskimo, and many more.

The two teams have brand new names, TEAM GOLDIES and TEAM OLDIES and they’ll compete to win the day – and your hearts.

Deuce was found as a stray last year in Phoenix, Arizona. He is an energetic 11-year-old Plott Hound mix, who is ready to take on any challenge. On his way to Dog Bowl in New York City, he literally rode in planes, trains, and automobiles all in one day. Deuce weighs about 50 pounds and is currently available for adoption. He is a gentle soul and a very smart boy who loves to walk (or run!), play with toys, and get his back scratched. He does well with other dogs, as you’ll notice in the big game!

This year’s halftime show will feature DC Humane Alliance’s ‘Barktoberfest’ with senior wiener dog races and Jill Rappaport reporting on amazing dog adoption stories.

  • Anneliese (a three-legged Beagle mix)
  • Wilma (a partially blind Chihuahua)
  • Captain Will (a one-eyed Chihuahua / Shih Tzu mix)

  • Elijah (a straight-legged German Shepherd)
  • Gizmo (a partially blind Papillon Mix)
  • Audrey (a deaf Australian Shepherd / Border Collie mix).

The Olate performing dogs who won the seventh season of America’s Got Talent will be the featured tail-gaters as they root for their favorite team and players.

Senior celebrity rescue dogs such as Mervin the Chihuahua (@mervinthechihuahua), Marnie the Dog (@marniethedog), Kimchi Kardoggian (@the_kardoggians), and Ella Bean (@ellabeanthedog) will also be getting in on all of the DOG BOWL action this year.
