Success story: Angel

Success story: Angel

Angel found herself at Pinal Animal Care And Control when her owner was admitted into hospice. At 7 years old, Angel was an energetic lab mix who loved to give kisses, go for walks, and hang out with all people and dogs.

At our vet, we found out that an old injury to her left eye has caused Angel to lose her vision in that eye, but that hasn’t stopped this sweet girl. We knew she would make a great running partner and addition to any family.

Enter Lauren, who was looking for an active older lab to join her other two, Remi and Max.

It was fate for Angel the day we contacted Lauren from her application. When we called, she was leaving work and happened to be down the street from the sanctuary! She came right over to meet Angel, and fell in love

After a whirlwind home visit, and vet check with Lauren’s vet, Angel stayed with her family for a trial and never left. She was home.

“I have just adopted dear sweet Angel. She was a long resident at the Sanctuary — she was just waiting for my two labs and my sister to find her. We are SOOOOOO privileged to have her in our family – THANK YOU Forever Loved, you are the greatest rescue around! Her care has with you has obviously been amazing.”

Angel now gets to go on daily walks and hikes in Papago Park.

Lauren says Angel settled in immediately and was instant friends with her two labs, like she had always been a part of the pack.

Lauren’s sister, Saramae, says Angel adores her and follows her around everywhere. Angel now gets to go on daily walks and hikes in Papago Park, as Lauren is very active and she is always looking for things to do with her dogs.

While it’s always bittersweet when long-time FLPS residents find their forever homes and we will miss her, we look forward to hearing about Angel’s future adventures. Thanks Lauren!
